Catholic Relief Services is implementing a global emergency response initiative designed to deliver timely, life-saving humanitarian assistance in rapidly evolving crises worldwide. The RAPID Humanitarian Operations Technical Advisor I provides deployable, technical and operational support to CRS humanitarian emergency responses, with primary emphasis on supply chain management -- particularly procurement and logistics -- and emergency suboffice setup. The role works closely with other technical departments (HR, finance, security, ICT, administration, fleet management) to support operational functions and contributes to capacity strengthening for CRS country programs and partners.
Basic Qualifications:
- Graduate degree in international development or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Minimum 5 years of experience supporting/managing humanitarian operations in the field
- Demonstrated field management experience with an INGO
- Experience integrating cross-cutting themes (protection, gender, capacity strengthening, governance)
- Proficiency (verbal and written) in English and French is mandatory
- Must be able and willing to travel at least 50% of time, often at very short notice
