Location: Western Highlands Province, Papua New Guinea
World Vision is seeking a Project Officer to manage project coordination, implementation, and monitoring of community climate resilience initiatives focused on ecosystem-based solutions, climate mitigation and adaptation. Responsibilities include effective coordination and implementation of project activities, maintaining quality implementation and monitoring, timely coordination and communication with technical specialists and direct reports, and prudent management of project budget and financial compliance. The role also requires high quality documentation: ensuring reports are submitted on time, managing coordination of project assessments and evaluations, presenting regular progress reports at meetings, submitting monthly reports, training field staff on developing monthly work plans, and conducting monthly learning and reflection sessions. Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Agriculture / Tropical Agriculture, with knowledge of climate-smart and tropical agriculture preferable; Diploma qualifications in Project Management; 3+ years of experience in community development or relief and development settings, including project management experience; experience in project design, implementation, monitoring, evaluation, and report writing; experience working and networking with partners in the Autonomous Region of Bougainville is a bonus; good interpersonal skills and cross-cultural sensitivity; effective written and oral communication in English; computer literate. Employment is a Local - Fixed Term contract, conditional upon successful completion of background checks including criminal record checks.
