Danish Refugee Council is looking for a Protection Officer - Protection Case Management for its operations in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. Under supervision of the Protection Project Manager, the officer will implement protection case management activities in line with international standards and DRC's SOP, conduct service mapping, and coordinate with UN agencies, INGOs and local CSOs serving people on the move. Duties include identification, assessment, planning, intervention and follow-up for vulnerable beneficiaries; ensuring functional referral pathways in Addis Ababa, Dire Dawa, Jigjiga and Togochale; coordinating health, MHPSS, legal and other services for people facing trafficking and protection risks; cross-border case management coordination; facilitating cash for protection; and maintaining confidential case records in ActivityInfo. Requirements: minimum 3 years' experience in the legal sector, preferably humanitarian, with case management experience in the migration context for an international NGO, UN agency or local CSO; practical experience on the Eastern Migration Route and cross-border case management; strong analytical, planning and problem-solving skills; university degree in social work, law, sociology, psychology or related field; excellent written and spoken English. Contract: 12 months, National Contract, Band H1, start date 15 October 2026. Only qualified Ethiopian nationals encouraged to apply.
