IDA is an independent non-governmental organization providing medical and humanitarian assistance to people affected by conflicts, natural disasters, and epidemics regardless of race, religion, gender, or political affiliation. Department: Programs Department. Workspace: Syria - Al-Raqqa City.

Responsibilities: Ensure proper functioning of the pharmacy including safety, accessibility, and proper storage and handling of stock. Apply the stock card system, ensuring no stockouts, protecting drug stock, and continuously updating inventory lists. New orders should follow the calculation: order quantity = monthly consumption + safety stock - remaining quantity. Submit monthly inventory reports to the direct supervisor. Responsible for quality assurance procedures for pharmaceutical products including temperature control, hygiene, and pest control. Provide medicines to the health team in a timely manner. Handle medicine delivery, storage, feedback delivery, and shipment statements. Support medical waste management according to laws and recommendations and supervise cleaning staff within the unit. Report any difficulties, security concerns, possible spread of infectious disease, and other relevant information to the facility manager or direct supervisor. Maintain patient rights, dignity, and confidentiality of information. Contribute effectively to improving the health facility and the organization. Perform other duties within area of expertise as assigned by the direct supervisor. Follow instructions of the facility manager or direct supervisor, and in their absence, another IDA staff member. Strict adherence to humanitarian principles and protection standards, as well as organizational policies including the code of conduct and prevention of sexual exploitation and abuse (PSEA) and child protection.

Required qualifications: Degree in Pharmacy. Minimum five years of experience managing a pharmacy or similar setting. Good organizational and time management skills. Ability to work under pressure.
