Location: Port Sudan/Khartoum, Sudan

Under the supervision of the Chief of Party, the Technical Specialist contributes to the development, implementation and technical coordination of the FCDO funded consortia programme in Sudan, coordinating high-quality technical services in close collaboration with consortium partners. The role supports contextualization of social norm methodologies, harmonization of tools, guidelines and SOPs for GBV case management, capacity building, and standard donor and data analysis/reporting methods, while also supporting harmonisation of Safeguarding mechanisms. Responsibilities include providing coordination and direction on technical activities; ensuring a coherent GBV technical strategy with safeguarding measures; supporting GBV prevention and response, case management SOPs, referral mechanisms, and social norm methodologies; capacity building including training, coaching and mentorship on GBV, PSEAH and Safeguarding; project design and cycle management including risk analysis, monitoring indicators, and technical input into SOPs; coordination and representation including leading the GBV Technical Working Group and liaising with donors and clusters; and serving as PSEAH/Safeguarding focal point for the consortium. Requires at least 5 years' experience in humanitarian protection and GBV programming in Sudan, experience with gender analysis, GBV information management, PFA/PSS capacity building, PSEAH/Safeguarding concepts, training delivery, and strong report writing skills in English. A university degree relevant to humanitarian work (law, social work, gender studies, social sciences or humanitarian aid) is required, with fluency in English and Arabic. Willingness to travel to conflict-affected areas including North Darfur, Central Darfur and North/South Kordofan, Khartoum is required, along with a valid passport. National contract for 12 months, starting salary from USD 2,300.
