Humanity & Inclusion is an independent and impartial aid organisation working in situations of poverty and exclusion, conflict and disaster. HI has run development and humanitarian projects in more than 55 countries since 1982, with a budget of approximately 200 million euros and 4,000 employees worldwide.
HI initiated operations in Sudan in early 2024 in Gedaref State, later expanding to West Darfur, Al Jazirah State, and Tawila. Current activities include Humanitarian Mine Action, Physical Rehabilitation, Inclusive Humanitarian Action, Atlas Logistique, and Basic Needs support.
Reporting to the Sudan Country Director, the Operations Manager ensures optimal quality and impact of projects in the assigned area through a delegation system with appropriate oversight. Key responsibilities include: team management and coaching; contributing to programme operational strategy and its implementation; ensuring compliance with HI global frameworks and donor rules; overseeing project budgets and facilitating audits; monitoring risks and opportunities; representing HI externally; coordinating project manager teams; and supporting emergency preparedness and response.
Requirements: at least 5 years of professional experience in Operations/Field/Project Management in challenging humanitarian contexts, including complex and conflict-affected regions; proven experience in disability-inclusion advocacy; experience with donor relations, fundraising, and strategic positioning; ability to design and coordinate complex emergency interventions; strong management and communication skills; fluency in English (Arabic an asset); willingness to travel frequently to remote, insecure areas.
Contract: 12-month international contract (renewable), starting October 2026, based in Khartoum. Salary from 2,869 EUR gross/month depending on experience, plus per diem and hardship allowance, 25 days paid leave/year, R&R every 8 weeks, collective housing provided.
