Under the supervision of the Senior Scientist and Wild Rice Curator, the Researcher will support standard operating procedures related to wild rice conservation, contributing to planning and implementation of routine operations, research activities, and experiments involving Oryza crop wild relatives. Responsibilities include collecting, processing, and analyzing data for accurate submission to the database; supporting genebank operations such as regeneration, characterization, and seed processing; coordinating plant management activities; communicating with internal and external partners on biosafety regulatory requirements; collaborating with genebank teams and research technicians; contributing to reports, presentations, publications, and training materials; and supporting continuous improvement of SOPs. This position is based at IRRI Headquarters, Los Baños, Philippines and may only be filled by permanent citizens of the Philippines. Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Agriculture or Biology (preferably specializing in Agronomy, Plant Breeding, Plant Genetic Resources, or Taxonomy), at least 2 years relevant work experience in field crop management. Skills required: technical proficiency in field, screenhouse, and laboratory experiments; strong leadership and analytical skills; ability to work independently or with minimal supervision; good communication skills; experience overseeing support staff is preferred.
