Consultancy Needed - Climate Change Education Support
KREASI (Kolaborasi untuk Edukasi Anak Indonesia) is a national program improving literacy, numeracy, and character education in primary education across eight districts in Indonesia, integrating Climate Change Education (CCE) into teaching and learning. This consultancy will lead development of teacher and principal professional development materials, including training programs, KKG/KKKS community of practice sessions, and coaching support. Period 1 (Nov 2026-Jan 2027) provides technical support to KREASI's Year Two programming, integrating climate change education into teacher training, curriculum development, and remedial learning. Period 2 (Feb-Oct 2027) focuses on developing the Year 3 Climate Change Education package: training materials, coaching tools, KKG/KKKS content, staff capacity building, evidence generation, and advocacy integration. Deliverables include training modules, session plans, coaching guidance, policy briefs, and a journal-style paper on climate integration in foundational learning. Requires: Bachelor's degree (MA preferred) in Environmental Science, Climate Change Education, Science Education or related field; minimum 6 years progressive experience in climate adaptation, environmental education, or disaster risk reduction in education/development contexts, including 2+ years in technical advisory/leadership; expertise in curriculum development and teacher professional development with climate/sustainability focus; deep knowledge of Indonesia's education and environmental sectors and policy frameworks; established relationships with MoECRT and/or MoRA; track record producing knowledge products; strong facilitation, communication and writing skills in Bahasa Indonesia and English.
