The position of Associate Investment Officer is assigned to the Private Sector Investment Funds and Special Initiatives Division (PSIS) within the Private Sector Operations Department (PSOD). Based at ADB Headquarters in Manila, Philippines, reporting to designated International Staff and/or officer (senior/principal/lead, as applicable). The role is responsible for the credit administration process and client relationship management in terms of onboarding, disbursements, covenant monitoring and billing for private equity investments, working with borrowers, multiple PSOD staff and a wide range of internal and external stakeholders.
Responsibilities include: Project Monitoring (ensuring client adherence to reporting obligations, coordinating with Deal Teams on covenant breaches, coordinating on report review); Disbursements, Distributions, Onboarding and Closing (supporting middle office processing of disbursements and distributions, review of withdrawal applications, verification of compliance with disbursement conditions/loan covenants, ensuring accurate system entries for transaction approvals, signings, terminations and cancellations); Database Maintenance (ensuring completeness of legal documentation and financing/security documents databases, supporting creation and maintenance of project-related databases tracking portfolio size and composition); and Administrative and Planning Support (participating in planning initiatives, coordinating inputs for annual work program/budget and mid-year budget reviews).
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in finance, business or related fields, preferably with advanced training; at least 5 years of relevant work experience in credit lending and equity investments in corporate finance, project finance, infrastructure finance, or financial institutions, preferably with a leading international financial institution, investment bank, infrastructure fund or consultancy firm; excellent understanding of finance business principles and strong client management skills; good negotiation skills; ability to work in a multicultural setting as a strong team player; excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
