Danish Refugee Council is looking for a qualified Engagement Coordinator for its operations in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. The role is a senior coordination position supporting humanitarian and resilience operations through enhanced coordination, information exchange, and collective engagement among INGO Group members at the regional level, serving as the primary link between regional coordination structures and the national-level INGO Group.

Main duties include: strengthening regional INGO coordination platforms; facilitating collaboration and information sharing among humanitarian directors and focal points; representing the INGO Group in sub-national coordination forums; facilitating the Humanitarian Leads Working Group and other operational working groups; monitoring political, humanitarian, policy and security developments in Ethiopia; producing analytical products and briefing notes; and supporting member organizations' priorities in coordination and advocacy efforts.

Requirements: minimum 5 years relevant experience, including at least 3 years in a senior leadership role with UN, NGOs and/or donor agencies in an emergency context, and 3 years working with INGOs/international agencies. Demonstrated representation and coordination experience in multi-agency forums; strong understanding of IASC coordination architecture and humanitarian principles; proven crisis management experience. Master's degree in international relations, business administration, management, human rights, social sciences or related field. Fluent English and Amharic required. Previous work experience in Ethiopia preferred. Contract length: 9 months, National Contract.
