GGGI is a treaty-based international, inter-governmental organization dedicated to supporting and promoting strong, inclusive and sustainable economic growth in developing countries and emerging economies. The Finance Unit is seeking a motivated, detail-oriented intern to provide operational support and contribute to the accuracy, completeness, and compliance of financial documentation and processes. Responsibilities include: supporting responses to earmarked funding audits by gathering and compiling financial statements, records, vouchers, invoices, and other documentation; organizing and maintaining financial documents; reconciling core system records against financial requirements in grant agreements and flagging discrepancies; assisting quarterly assessment and review of earmarked funds risk levels; and undertaking additional administrative or financial assignments as needed. Through the assignment, the intern will gain hands-on experience reconciling and managing accounting records, responding to external fund audits, and reviewing grant agreements. Eligibility: enrolled in a Bachelor's (final year), Master's, or PhD program prior to the internship, or a recent graduate within the last 12 months, in a field related to GGGI's work; excellent command of English; full-time engagement required. Preferred qualifications: Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field; knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and auditing standards; strong analytical skills and attention to detail; proficiency in accounting software and MS Office, particularly Excel; strong communication and interpersonal skills; ability to work collaboratively and meet deadlines; exposure to Power BI, Tableau, or Power Automate is an advantage. Duration is at least six months, with a monthly stipend of USD $500 (unless funded by a sponsoring institution). Interns are responsible for their own travel, visa, accommodation, and medical insurance costs; GGGI provides a supporting letter for visa purposes.
