The Young Professionals Program (YPP) is ADB's entry-level recruitment program for motivated individuals seeking a career in international development. The position may be assigned to an operations department or a direct operations support department, based in Manila, Philippines (relocation required). As a Young Professional, responsibilities include: assisting in the development of ADB policy and strategy; applying expertise to research and analysis on development impact; assisting in development, processing and administration of loans, grants, and technical assistance projects; supporting integration of ADB policies in project design; and contributing to knowledge sharing and advocacy activities. Requirements: a university degree in Economics, Finance, Business Administration, Engineering, Environment, Law, Social Sciences, Public Policy or related field (postgraduate degree preferred); at least 3 years of relevant professional experience in fields such as development economics, climate change, banking, education, energy, environment, financial sector, public health, public-private partnership, rural development, transport, urban planning, water operations, or agriculture; international experience is an asset; candidates must be not more than 32 years old upon joining; written and verbal proficiency in English required. Selection involves an online assessment, video interview, and panel interviews (Q1 2027). The appointment is for an initial term of 3 years.
