Location: Yangambi/Yanonge, Democratic Republic of the Congo
CIFOR-ICRAF is looking for a NutriScapes Field Project Assistant to support implementation, monitoring and coordination of NutriScapes project activities in the Yangambi Engagement Landscape, DRC. The NutriScapes project intervenes in six villages in the Yangambi landscape to reduce malnutrition and improve food security by improving production of diverse, nutritious foods and promoting healthy eating through community education. The Assistant will support project implementation and training, community engagement and stakeholder relations, data tracking and collection, and planning, reporting and coordination. Duties include facilitating training workshops, representing the project at community level, collecting and verifying field data, and contributing to work plans and reports. This is a Locally Recruited Position for a one-year appointment with a three-month probationary period, possibility of extension based on performance and resources. Requirements: bachelor's degree in nutrition, agriculture, agronomy or a similar field, at least 3 years of relevant professional experience in nutrition and agriculture activities in the field, proven experience planning and monitoring community activities including training and capacity building, good knowledge of the local YEL context and communities, command of Swahili and Lingala, and good report writing skills.
