The position is to be filled as soon as possible, with an initial contract duration of one year, with good prospects for extension. Employment location is Bonn, Germany. Working hours are 20 hours/week, to allow continuation of studies. Mobile work within Germany is possible in agreement with the team; 100% mobile work is not possible. The position is remunerated at 15 Euro per hour. The role sits within the Grants & Contracts team of Welthungerhilfe's Institutional Donor Relations Unit, which maintains relationships with institutional donors, supports internal knowledge management, and advises Country Offices on review of project proposals, contracts, and donor reports. As a working student, responsibilities include supporting the BMZ team, particularly reviewing financial reports and supporting documents (voucher lists, inventory records, audit reports), reconciling financial reports with project accounting records, communicating with Country Offices during the review process, supporting preparation of external audits, maintaining and entering data in the Bengo Online Portal, maintaining tables and overviews in Excel, creating and adapting AI-supported tools, and carrying out general financial administration tasks. Candidates should be currently enrolled at a university or university of applied sciences, have experience with Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Microsoft Office 365, ideally have initial experience in financial administration, demonstrate organizational accuracy and an affinity for numbers, enjoy working in an international environment, and have good English and German language skills. Experience with common AI applications is an asset.
