The assignment, commissioned by the International Finance Corporation (IFC), will support UkraineInvest in promoting and attracting foreign direct investment into Ukraine's transport and logistics sector, covering commercial logistics investments (logistics real estate, warehousing, 3PL, intermodal and cold-chain logistics) and private participation in transport infrastructure and terminal projects (ports, river terminals, intermodal facilities, road and border-crossing concessions). The Team Leader will be responsible for overall technical leadership, coordination and quality assurance for the assignment, serving as the principal technical interface with IFC and UkraineInvest. Responsibilities include guiding the inception and methodological approach, overseeing prioritisation of logistics subsectors and transport infrastructure opportunities, ensuring coherence across investment promotion, investor mapping and capacity-building workstreams, leading senior stakeholder engagement, reviewing investor-facing outputs, supporting selection of actionable investor prospects, and ensuring timely delivery of high-quality outputs in line with IFC requirements.
Requirements: Advanced degree in logistics, economics, business, finance, or related field; at least 10 years of experience in logistics consulting, investment advisory, or investment promotion, with demonstrated experience leading similar assignments; strong familiarity with the logistics investor landscape in Europe, including infrastructure funds, logistics real estate developers, 3PL operators and institutional investors with infrastructure mandates; experience working with or advising investment promotion agencies is an advantage, as is experience managing assignments for international development organizations (e.g. IFC, EBRD, EU); prior experience in Ukraine or post-conflict reconstruction contexts and proficiency in Ukrainian are viewed favorably.
