Consultancy - Digital Platform Support (Digital Platform Officer)
Save the Children Indonesia, in partnership with Cargill, runs the Siap Kerja Ketapang (SKK) program in Ketapang Regency, West Kalimantan, supporting palm oil farming households and vulnerable youth through economic growth, employment access, and WASH initiatives. Phase 2 of the program (started January 2025) requires an external collaborator, a Digital Platform Officer/Consultant, to manage, maintain and develop the SKK digital platform - a jobs portal connecting local employers with jobseekers, especially youth.
Key responsibilities:
- Website maintenance: monitor system performance, fix bugs, maintain the database, optimize speed, monitor server/hosting, perform regular backups and restores, and monitor storage capacity.
- Website development: build new pages and features, improve the admin dashboard, develop reporting modules, online forms, search functionality, notification features, and integrations with other systems (e.g. an LMS).
- UI/UX improvement: refine layout, navigation, responsiveness across devices, accessibility, and design consistency.
- Security maintenance: update frameworks/plugins, monitor system security, prevent malware and spam, and monitor suspicious activity.
- Technical support: troubleshoot issues, support website administrators, document system changes, provide technical consultation, and coordinate with hosting providers as needed.
- Partnership and coordination: maintain strategic partnerships with village/sub-district/district governments, schools, vocational training providers (TVET), businesses, palm oil companies, village enterprises (BUMDes), and community organizations to support implementation of the Siap Kerja Ketapang program.
