Exciting opportunity to work on issues related to the energy transition and climate diplomacy, climate risks and their interaction with geopolitics and geoeconomics. Join Chatham House's Environment and Society Centre and help shape policy debates on some of the most pressing global challenges, including climate risks, energy transitions, resource competition and climate diplomacy. Working closely with the Energy and Climate Lead, you will contribute to impactful research, stakeholder engagement and innovative projects that influence decision-makers around the world.

What you will do:
- Conduct policy-relevant research on climate, energy and geopolitical issues.
- Lead and contribute to research papers, briefings and other publications.
- Support the design and delivery of high-profile events, workshops and stakeholder consultations.
- Build and maintain relationships with policymakers, experts, funders and partner organisations.
- Contribute to fundraising activities, including proposal and concept note development.

What you will bring:
- Research experience in energy transition, climate diplomacy, climate policy or related fields.
- Strong analytical, writing and communication skills.
- Experience managing multiple priorities and delivering high-quality work to deadlines.
- A collaborative approach and the ability to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- An interest in translating research into practical policy impact.

Benefits: approximately 37 days annual leave (including public holidays and Chatham House closure days), pension salary exchange, employee assistance programme, parental leave, flexible working and other benefits designed to suit your lifestyle.

Salary: £38,000 per year. Contract: Full-time, Permanent. Location: St James's Square, London — a hybrid role based in the London office, with the successful candidate expected to work onsite at least 2 days per week, with flexibility around event requirements.
