Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) is an international humanitarian aid organization providing assistance in more than 70 countries to populations in distress. As Construction & Shelter Mobile Implementation Officer (MIO) based in Brussels, you will be part of the Log Support Unit (LSU) within the HQ Logistics Department, working under the Construction & Shelter Team Leader. The MIO provides technical support for the planning, design and implementation of health infrastructure projects across MSF OCB operations, including project assessments, feasibility studies, design development, and construction or rehabilitation activities. Main responsibilities include operational support to countries throughout the project cycle (assessment and feasibility phases, design and tender phases, site supervision, contract and payment follow-up, quality control), and technical development and knowledge management (facilitating knowledge exchange, capturing lessons learned, contributing to internal training and technical tools). Requirements: a Master's degree in architecture or civil engineering; minimum 3 years of international experience with MSF with at least 3 assignments in construction and rehabilitation roles; experience in health facility planning and sizing; proficiency in AutoCAD. Languages: fluency in English or French with intermediate proficiency in the other; Portuguese, Arabic, or Spanish an asset. Conditions: fixed-term full-time contract of 1 year (extendable), 70% mobility in MSF projects, salary per MSF international salary grid, medical insurance and 45 days annual paid leave. Previous MSF experience mandatory.
