This is a 3-year fixed-term stepping-stone development role for people starting their career in the sector. The Youth Networker will promote youth-centred action in the ESEAOR region and connect a global community for youth participation across the IPPF Federation.
Role Purpose: To drive meaningful youth engagement, youth-led accountability, and youth leadership across ESEAOR, ensuring that young people influence decision-making, governance, programmes, advocacy, service delivery and organizational development of Member Associations (MAs) in line with IPPF Strategy 2028.
Key Deliverables:
- Organize youth action to ensure the region has an inclusive IPPF youth network that advances the goals of the new strategy with MAs
- Advise on direct involvement of youth participation and youth-led accountability within the region and member associations; oversee Regional and Global Youth Forums
- Promote meaningful youth engagement throughout the programme cycle, including design, implementation, monitoring and evaluation
- Develop growth pathways in the Federation, building engagement with regional networks and mentoring strategies
- Amplify the voice of youth within the Secretariat and create safe, diverse, anti-racist environments
- Support Member Associations to strengthen youth-centred care, youth-friendly services and youth-led programming for SRHR services
- Collect, analyse and share evidence, data, good practices and lessons learned on youth engagement
- Contribute to monitoring and reporting on youth-related indicators under IPPF Strategy 2028
Essential Skills:
- Experience working with youth groups and amplifying voices
- Ability to relate to people from different cultures and backgrounds
- Good analytical, problem-solving, time management and coordination skills
- Competent in Microsoft Office and social media
- Business English proficiency
- Commitment to safeguarding principles and IPPF's Code of Conduct
- Intersectional feminist perspective and commitment to sexual and reproductive health rights and justice
