Job Title: Doctor (Psychiatric)

Job location: Syria – Homs -Detainees’ clinic

Work Type: Full-Time

Report to: Admin Officer

JOB SUMMARY:

The Psychiatric is responsible for conducting in-depth assessments of moderate to severe cases, developing
comprehensive treatment plans that include pharmacological and psychological interventions, and supervising the
Therapeutic team within a structured training framework.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Psychiatric has the following responsibilities and duties:
1. Conduct thorough psychological evaluations of referred cases.
2. Develop integrated treatment plans that include medication and suitable psychological interventions
3. Supervise therapy sessions and support the professional development of the therapeutic team.
4. Participate in clinical meetings to review cases and share expertise.
5. Contribute to continuing medical education and scientific research in the field of psychiatry.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:
Should have the following skills, education, and experience:
1. Medical degree with a specialization in Psychiatry
2. Additional training or certification in psychotherapy, psychopharmacology, or related mental health fields is an
asset.
3. Clinical experience in psychiatric evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment planning.
4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with patients and professionals alike.
5. Strong commitment to patient care and safety.
6. Fluency in Arabic is required.
7. Proficiency in English (spoken and written) is an asset.
