Organization: Solidarités International

Closing date: August 31, 2026

Desired start date: end of July.

Mission duration: 6 months.

Location: Port-au-Prince

SOLIDARITES INTERNATIONAL:
(SI) is an international humanitarian aid organization that, for over 40 years, has been providing assistance to populations affected by armed conflict and natural disasters by addressing their vital needs: water, food, and shelter. Particularly committed to combating diseases linked to unsafe water, the leading cause of death worldwide, SI implements its interventions with expertise in the areas of access to drinking water, sanitation, and hygiene promotion, as well as in the essential areas of food security and livelihoods. Present in 26 countries, SI's teams—a total of 3,200 people including expatriates, national staff, headquarters staff, and a few volunteers—operate with professionalism and dedication, respecting local cultures.

The mission:
Present in Haiti since 2004, Solidarités International (SI) has extensive experience in emergency response, built up after Tropical Storm Jeanne and strengthened during major crises (the 2016 hurricane, the 2021 earthquake, and epidemics). A key player in the WASH sector, as well as in food security, livelihoods, and nutrition, SI has been working for over ten years with the most vulnerable populations, particularly internally displaced persons (IDPs) and host communities. Faced with the deteriorating security situation linked to organized criminal groups, SI currently operates in 17 displacement sites in Delmas, Cité-Soleil, and Port-au-Prince, improving access to water and sanitation infrastructure and contributing to the prevention of waterborne diseases. SI also addresses immediate needs through income-generating activities and nutritional prevention programs targeting children, pregnant women, and breastfeeding mothers.

As of March 2026, the country office consists of a coordination unit and an operational base in Port-au-Prince. The mission hopes to open new areas of intervention in 2026, depending on available funding.
