Every Mother Counts (EMC) envisions a world where pregnancy and childbirth are positive, transformational experiences and everyone can access quality maternity care. The Development Manager plays a critical role in supporting EMC's fundraising and engagement efforts by managing day-to-day execution across campaigns, systems, and reporting; supporting individual and institutional giving workflows; and ensuring coordination across the development and engagement functions. The role manages donor data, gift processing, reporting, and campaign logistics while collaborating with Finance & Operations to ensure accuracy, accountability, and timeliness. Responsibilities include: Development Operations and Systems Management (50%) - develop and maintain standard operating procedures for gift processing, acknowledgments, data entry, and reconciliation; serve as primary administrator of the donor database (Salesforce); provide project management for fundraising and peer-to-peer campaigns; own pledge tracking and reconciliation. Cross-Functional Collaboration and Stakeholder Support (25%) - collaborate with Finance & Operations, provide data for fundraising reports, support proposals and reporting for funders, manage vendor relationships. Donor Stewardship Management (15%) - execute gift acknowledgement processes, manage donor recognition and engagement, support donor research. Events and Donor Engagement Support (10%) - support planning and execution of fundraising and cultivation events. Requirements: Bachelor's degree; 2-4 years of experience in nonprofit development, fundraising operations, or database management; experience with donor databases such as Salesforce; strong organizational skills; proficiency in Excel and Word; demonstrated interest in social impact or public health preferred. This is a full-time, non-exempt, hybrid role (minimum 2 days/week in EMC's lower Manhattan office). Salary range: $85,000 to $95,000 annually.
