World Relief is a global Christian humanitarian organization whose mission is to boldly engage the world's greatest crises in partnership with the church. World Relief seeks a Country Director responsible for the development and management of the World Relief Chad Country program portfolio and day-to-day activities. This is achieved through the development and implementation of a country strategy in line with World Relief's mission, vision, and values, including aligning programs with WR International Program's strategy; recruitment of requisite personnel; development of policies, structures and systems; ensuring quality Monitoring and Evaluation processes; and the development of strong strategic partnerships with local institutions, government agencies, donors and other implementing partners. The Country Director leads the senior management team and represents the organization with government, donors and other local and international organizations. Responsibilities include providing overall leadership and supervision to all in-country staff; leading development and review of the country strategy; providing strategic leadership for business development including identifying funding opportunities and leading proposal development; building partnerships with government ministries, donors, UN agencies, NGOs and churches; overseeing financial management including budgeting, forecasting and reporting; leading risk management and MEAL systems; ensuring safeguarding, PSEA, and fraud prevention; and overseeing staff safety and security. Requirements: mature and personal Christian faith; university degree in a related field; a minimum of seven years of experience in international relief and development work with progressive leadership responsibilities, or ten years in business management and leadership; experience administering U.S. government, UN, ECHO, EU and other donor-funded grants; professional proficiency in English and French; and ability to relocate to and reside in Chad. Preferred: Master's degree, experience in conflict zones or fragile contexts, and proficiency in Arabic. Compensation: $65,000 a year, commensurate with experience.
