Precision Development (PxD) is seeking a strategic, impact-oriented Senior Program Manager to lead high-value, cross-functional initiatives for its flagship program in Ethiopia. This role works closely with the government at the intersection of public policy, data-driven service delivery, and institutional partnership. It is a mission-critical management role for someone with experience in strategy, stakeholder management, and implementation in complex environments. You will guide a multidisciplinary team—including research, product, and tech—through the design, delivery, and scaling of inclusive agricultural programs, and serve as the organization's representative with government counterparts and key partners in Ethiopia.
PxD is a global non-profit with the mission to scale innovations that millions of smallholder farmers in low and middle-income countries can use to improve their lives, primarily by delivering timely, evidence-based digital information via basic mobile phones. PxD has scaled digital agriculture services to more than 46 million farmers across Africa and Asia.
Responsibilities include: Strategic Program Management (end-to-end program management from design to delivery and impact measurement); Government & Stakeholder Engagement; Digital Agriculture Leadership; Evidence-Driven Decision Making; Thought Leadership & Representation; Operational Execution (budgets, timelines, resourcing, milestones); Cross-functional Team Management; and Internal Learning & Knowledge Sharing.
Requirements: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Public Policy, Economics, Business Administration, International Development, Technology Management, Digital Transformation or a related field; at least 8 years of professional experience in management, policy advisory, international development, public sector strategy, digital transformation, or agriculture; demonstrated experience leading complex, multi-stakeholder programs from strategy through scale-up; experience with digital platforms, data systems, AI, automation, GIS, or digital public infrastructure; strong understanding of evidence-based program design, research methodologies, and M&E; proven ability to build senior-level relationships with government institutions and donors; experience leading multidisciplinary teams; and strong writing and oral communication skills in English and Amharic. Willingness to travel to field sites in Ethiopia.
