MCD Global Health has entered a period of significant growth and seeks a Chief Financial Officer who will strategically scale-up financial operations to meet the increasingly complex needs of the newly expanded organization. The CFO will report directly to the President & CEO and serve as a member of the Executive Leadership Team, ensuring the organization is compliant with all fiduciary, legal, and statutory requirements and has the proper internal controls, processes, and systems in place to manage the organization and mitigate risks. The CFO serves as the primary staff liaison to the Board of Directors' Finance Committee and will manage a Finance team of seven. This position is contingent upon funding and is remote/home based, with a hybrid option for those within commuting distance of the Hallowell, ME office. Essential functions include Financial Planning & Analysis (setting long-term financial direction, treasury management), Budgeting and Forecasting (leading the annual budgeting process through Board approval), Financial Reporting and Grant Management (preparing monthly financial statements, ensuring funds are spent per donor intent, targeting >90% spending to budget/forecast), and Compliance and Risk (ensuring MCD follows U.S. Government/IRS and donor regulations, managing the annual external audit and Form 990 submission). Requirements: a Master's degree in accounting, finance, business or related discipline; CPA or CFA an advantage; at least 15 years of progressive financial management experience including executive-level leadership and at least five years supervising staff; experience leading a Finance team at an organization with an annual budget of at least $50 million, preferably in public health or healthcare; experience with public and private funders; fluency in English (Spanish, French, or Portuguese an advantage); up to 10% domestic and international travel. Salary: $180,000 - $210,000 per year.
