About IDinsight
IDinsight is a global nonprofit that equips leaders with the data, evidence, and technology to improve lives at scale. We partner with governments, NGOs, multilaterals, and funders to support decisions at every stage of their impact journey – from bold pilots to nationwide scale-ups. Our teams bring rigorous evidence and practical insights so leaders can make informed decisions that truly change lives. With our partners, we are pioneering the next frontier of social impact, where data and technology accelerate progress for millions.
We help leaders overcome three main barriers to impact:
* Figuring out what works
* Learning and improving
* Reaching and operating at scale

About the Role
IDinsight seeks a strategic and relationship-driven Manager, Fundraising to join our global External Affairs team. This role will lead efforts to grow and diversify IDinsight's funding base by cultivating institutional funders – including foundations, bilateral and multilateral donors, and corporate partners – alongside building IDinsight's emerging major gifts program, focused on high-net-worth individuals and philanthropists.
As a Manager on the External Affairs team, you will drive the full fundraising cycle: from prospecting and cultivation through solicitation, stewardship, and renewal. You will collaborate extensively across IDinsight's global teams – including regional leadership, project teams, communications, and senior management – to develop compelling funding cases, coordinate funder engagement, and ensure IDinsight's resource mobilization efforts are cohesive and aligned with organizational strategy. You will also oversee the health and strategic use of IDinsight's CRM (Salesforce), ensuring data quality and pipeline visibility to support evidence-based fundraising decisions.
This is a high-visibility role suited for someone who thrives in cross-functional environments, can navigate ambiguity, and brings both the analytical rigor and interpersonal skill to build relationships with a range of funders and internal stakeholders.

Responsibilities
Fundraising Strategy & Execution
* Institutional fundraising: Lead the identification, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship of institutional funders, including foundations, bilateral and multilateral donors, and corporate partners.
* Major gifts: Build and manage IDinsight's individual giving pipeline, developing relationships with high-net-worth individuals and philanthropists. Design and execute tailored cultivation strategies, manage a personal portfolio of major gift prospects, and develop the systems and processes to support a growing individual donor program.
* Proposal development: Draft and coordinate high-quality funding proposals, concept notes, letters of inquiry, and donor reports. Tailor IDinsight's value proposition to specific funder priorities and giving vehicles.
* Pipeline management: Maintain a robust and well-documented fundraising pipeline. Track progress toward revenue targets, surface risks early, and provide regular pipeline reporting to senior leadership.
CRM Oversight & Fundraising Operations
* CRM strategy: Oversee the strategic use of IDinsight's Salesforce instance, ensuring it effectively supports pipeline tracking, donor management, and reporting needs. Ensure data integrity, define workflows, and drive adoption across the team.
* Prospect research: Conduct and coordinate prospect research across institutional and individual donor segments. Synthesize findings into actionable briefings for senior leadership and fundraising colleagues.
* Reporting & analysis: Generate regular fundraising reports, dashboards, and analyses to inform strategy and support decision-making.
Cross-Team Collaboration
* Internal coordination: Work closely with IDinsight's regional teams, project leads, and technical staff to source compelling evidence, impact stories, and project updates for funder communications.
* Communications alignment: Collaborate with the Strategic Communications function to ensure consistent messaging across fundraising materials, public-facing content, and event engagement.
* Partnerships integration: Coordinate with Strategic Partnerships colleagues to align funder engagement with broader partnership strategy, ensuring seamless handoffs and coherent external positioning.
* Senior leadership engagement: Prepare briefing materials and support senior leaders for high-stakes funder meetings, events, and convenings.

Qualifications
* At least 7 years of experience in fundraising or development, with at least 2 years focused on major gifts, individual giving, or high-net-worth donor engagement.
* Demonstrated success in managing and closing five- and six-figure (or larger) gifts from institutional and/or individual donors.
* Experience working with or for international or globally-oriented nonprofit organizations, ideally in the global development, evidence, or social impact space.
* Strong working knowledge of Salesforce or comparable CRM platforms, with the ability to oversee data quality, reporting, and pipeline management (required).
* Exceptional written communication skills, including the ability to produce compelling proposals, donor correspondence, and strategic communications.
* Excellent organizational and project management skills, with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities across time zones.
* A collaborative, proactive, and solution-oriented approach; comfort working across cultures and in a distributed, fast-paced team environment.
* Familiarity with Slack and Google Workspace (preferred).
