The Private Sector Fundraising and Partnerships (PSFP) section within the Division of Private Fundraising and Partnerships (PFP) works with National Committees and Country Offices to drive and maximize income growth for children in emergencies.

The Humanitarian Funding Unit in PSFP supports and coordinates cross-organization initiatives on humanitarian crisis and sudden onset disasters by leading global efforts in maximizing funding opportunities and supports National Committees and Private Sector Fundraising (PSFR) Countries.

Within the Humanitarian Funding Unit, the Knowledge Management Specialist is responsible for the collection and analysis of all relevant information from different stakeholders including HQ departments, National Committees and PSFR countries and make them available to support and promote evidence-based and informed decision making. To support the knowledge management function, the Humanitarian Funding Unit is looking for professional support for the development of data visualizations and graphic design for donor related materials.

PURPOSE OF ASSIGNMENT
The overall purpose of this assignment is to provide, on a need's basis, professional graphic design and data visualization services to facilitate data analysis and reporting on the one hand and to increase uptake of products created by the unit on the other hand. The content will be provided by the Humanitarian Funding Unit.

OBJECTIVE
The overall objective is to set up a Long-Term Agreement to facilitate and expedite the process by which the Humanitarian Funding Unit, PFP will hire a Graphic Designer to design assets to support humanitarian fundraising.

TASKS TO BE ACCOMPLISHED
Implement UNICEF's branding policy: Ensure that all publications, reports and products are produced in line with UNICEF graphic guidelines.

Core tasks:
• Design publications (fact sheets/ donor proposals/investment cases/ think pieces/donor reports/ guidelines) including cover design, internal layouts, infographics, charts, maps and iconography
• Design powerpoint presentations

Optional tasks:
• Design user-friendly and intuitive pages for the Emergency Hub and the PFP Private Sector Intranet on SharePoint modern.
• Create logos
• Design PowerBI Dashboards

Responsibilities of the Consultant:
• The consultant will use their own equipment; laptops, microphones, software and other accessories that may be required for this task.
• The consultant will not give the content/material or any part thereof, to any third party without the written permission of UNICEF. All components will be a property of UNICEF, and the consultant will not share the same with anyone else.
• The consultant will not put their own name or logo/emblem on the content / final product. The only organization branding will be UNICEF, if required.
• The consultant will ensure regular liaison with manager and content owners and any related units.
• The consultant may be required to work on Saturdays and Sundays, based on the requirements of the assignment.

Responsibilities of UNICEF:
• UNICEF will provide all details pertaining to the activity and the requirements
• UNICEF will orient the consultant on UNICEF's branding guidelines
• UNICEF will share the documents and specifications with the consultant as he/she becomes available and will coordinate the timely delivery of work

Minimum requirements:

Education:
• A university degree (bachelor's degree) in graphic design or other related fields is required.

Experience:
• At least five years of professional graphic design and data visualization experience is required.
• Experience designing products for UNICEF/UN agencies for private sector fundraising purposes is required.
• Experience in building a PowerBI Dashboard is an asset.

Language:
• Fluency in English is required.

Others:
• Excellent creative skills in Adobe Creative Suite, Illustrator, and InDesign software.
• Ability to deliver high quality products on time and within budget.
• Ability to deliver high quality products under tight deadlines, including during weekends (if necessary).
• Experience working remotely, very responsive over email and Microsoft Teams.
