We are looking for an experienced Finance & Operations Officer to join the Eurasia and North Africa team, with an initial focus on supporting our programmes in South Iraq. The Finance & Operations Officer will provide finance, operational, administrative, and coordination support to Tearfund's programming in Iraq, under the line management of the Iraq Finance Manager.

The successful candidate will have:
Experience & Qualifications
* A degree and/or equivalent qualification in Finance, Admin, or Logistics
* Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in a similar role within an INGO
* Experience in accounting, treasury management, cashbooks, petty cash, and payroll
* Experience working with finance, admin, and HR policies and procedures
* Experience in procurement and logistics functions
* Experience engaging with stakeholders at different levels, including government authorities
* Experience in security awareness, risk analysis, and recommending appropriate actions
* Good experience using software and online systems
Skills & Abilities
* Strong organisational and prioritisation skills
* Ability to work independently with limited supervision
* Strong financial analysis skills
* Excellent IT skills, including Microsoft Office, databases, and advanced Excel
* Fluent in spoken and written Arabic
* Good spoken and written English
* Understanding and sensitivity to cross-cultural environments
* Flexible and adaptable in changing environments
* Ability to remain calm under pressure
* Integrity and ability to represent Tearfund professionally
Note: This role will be based in Basra, Iraq. Applicants must possess a valid passport/visa stating the right to live and work in Iraq.
