Clean Air Task Force (CATF) is a global nonprofit organization working to safeguard against the worst impacts of climate change by catalyzing the rapid development and deployment of low-carbon energy and other climate-protecting technologies. With 30 years of internationally recognized expertise on climate policy, CATF is a pragmatic, non-ideological advocacy group with offices in Boston, Washington, D.C., and Brussels, with staff working virtually around the world.
The Senior Associate, Communications and Marketing supports CATF's Communications and Marketing and Events teams through project coordination, content development, editorial support, media relations support, digital communications, and shared team systems. This is a full-time, remote U.S.-based position with the ability to work typical Eastern Time Zone business hours. Occasional travel is required.
Responsibilities:
- Project Coordination & Team Operations: coordinate communications projects, meetings, shared resources and tracking tools; prepare agendas; track action items; maintain clear files and systems.
- Editorial & Content Development: draft, proofread and edit select press releases, reports, blogs, newsletters and other communications.
- Brand & Communications Standards: maintain internal resources including style guides, templates, brand guidelines, onboarding materials and training resources.
- Media Relations Support: support media monitoring and reporting, maintain media lists and engagement records, research relevant reporters and outlets.
- Digital Communications: support social media marketing and assist with website content and other digital communications.
- Cross-Team Collaboration: work across Communications and Marketing, Events, and other teams.
Required Experience:
- Bachelor's degree.
- 3–5 years of experience in communications, marketing, or a related role.
- Strong writing, editing, and organizational skills.
- Experience with media monitoring and reporting analytics, media engagement, press list management, and CRM tools such as MuckRack.
- Digital fluency and knowledge of project management platforms.
- Familiarity with website and social media content management and digital communications platforms.
- Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills.
- Interest in and commitment to CATF's mission.
Salary: United States $85,297–$102,356 USD annually. Benefits include medical, dental and vision coverage, a 401(k) with up to 5% employer match, 25 working days of vacation, paid sick leave, U.S. holidays, a flex day in December, life and disability insurance, home-office setup support and a monthly internet stipend.
