Management Sciences for Health (MSH) is a global health nonprofit that strengthens health systems to protect people from diseases and improve their health, working in more than 150 countries since 1971.
Main purpose: The Asset & Facilities Management Associate will be responsible for the proper management, organization, and tracking of inventory and office supplies in a warehouse and stockroom, ensuring goods are safely stored, accurately recorded, and ready for distribution. The role also supports the stock count verification process for warehouses the MSH Ethiopia office holds under external long-term agreements.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain optimal inventory levels to support business operations and USG-funded project activities.
- Coordinate the efficient flow of goods in and out of the store or warehouse.
- Receive, inspect, and verify incoming goods against purchase orders and delivery notes, keeping accurate records of all stock movements, transactions, and inventory levels.
- Unpack, label, and store incoming goods in designated locations.
- Ensure smooth warehouse operation through effective inventory management.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment in compliance with MSH policies and procedures.
- Participate in inventory counts of commodities stored in outsourced warehouses.
- Keep inventory tracking systems up to date and generate reports on request without delay.
- Perform other duties in line with the scope of the position as assigned by the supervisor.
Qualifications:
- BA degree in Material Management, Accounting, Business Administration or a related field from a recognized university.
- 1-3 years of related experience, including experience in an international organization with USG-funded projects and relevant experience in inventory control, warehousing, or recordkeeping.
- Negotiation, communication and interpersonal skills.
- Fluency in written and spoken English.
- Knowledge of inventory management software.
