In this hands-on engineering role you will design, build, integrate, govern and operate AI-powered experiences that improve how staff find information, automate work, create agents and collaborate securely. You will create reusable engineering patterns for agents, copilots, automations, knowledge sources, connectors, workflow orchestration, evaluation, monitoring and lifecycle management, and help translate enterprise AI strategy and governance into secure platform patterns.
Key responsibilities:
- AI solution engineering and agent platform development using Microsoft 365 Copilot, Copilot Studio, Power Platform, Azure AI services, Azure OpenAI and Microsoft Graph, including retrieval-augmented generation, grounding, prompt libraries and workflow automation.
- Define and operate engineering standards and governance for enterprise, team and individual agents.
- Establish Power Platform and low-code AI engineering patterns, including ALM, environment management and deployment pipelines.
- Improve M365 data readiness for AI: permissions hygiene, oversharing reduction, search and discoverability, knowledge-source curation.
- Build AI platform operations, usage, cost and consumption monitoring, auditability and incident response practices.
- Design secure data access and responsible AI controls using least privilege, scoped connectors, audit logging and DLP alignment.
- Partner with TPMs, engineers, architects, Information Security, Legal, Privacy, Records and business stakeholders to move AI scenarios from concept to sustainable production support.
Requirements:
- 10+ years of relevant experience in AI, software, cloud, platform, Microsoft 365 or Power Platform engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
- Hands-on experience building or operating enterprise AI solutions using LLMs, RAG, semantic search, AI agents, prompt engineering or AI-enabled automation.
- Experience with Microsoft 365 Copilot, Copilot Studio, Power Platform, Azure AI, Microsoft Graph, SharePoint Online, Teams, Entra ID, PowerShell and APIs.
- Experience with secure data access patterns, Power Platform governance and ALM, and AI evaluation and operational practices.
- Strong documentation, communication and stakeholder-influencing skills.
- Preferred: Microsoft certifications, experience in regulated or complex enterprise environments, and experience with ChatGPT Enterprise, Claude Enterprise, Semantic Kernel or Azure AI Search.
