CIFF is seeking a Senior Analyst, SRHR on a 12-month fixed-term contract to cover a maternity leave absence. Based in London on a hybrid basis, this is a high-impact opportunity to work at the heart of CIFF's SRHR portfolio, combining rigorous research and analysis, strategic insight and grant management to help shape and deliver ambitious investments. The postholder will play a central role in advancing commodity financing, helping to mobilise additional funding to close the family planning commodity gap and translate stronger financing into increased contraceptive access.
Key responsibilities:
- Strategy and planning: conduct analysis and research on projects and sector trends to support the SRHR Senior Management Team in setting strategic priorities and operational plans; communicate global, regional, national and sectoral insights.
- Programme development, delivery and performance: directly manage an existing grant portfolio of $100M of active grants, focused on monitoring and updating the global FP commodities gap to crowd in additional financing, and supporting analysis on equitable access to SRHR commodity financing; coordinate new proposals, board briefings and investment memos; lead end-to-end grants administration; manage risk, due diligence and monitoring and evaluation; coordinate grant payment forecasting with finance.
- Sector knowledge and profile-building: manage CIFF investments and partnerships with stakeholders such as UNFPA Supplies and GFF, and act as lead CIFF contact for SCMU; build knowledge resources on equitable access, demand generation and scale strategies.
- Stakeholder and partner management: develop peer-level relationships with governments, social enterprises, NGOs, foundations, civil society and beneficiary-led organisations.
- Team membership: no line management, but support inductions and mentor new analysts in a matrix structure.
Requirements:
- Experience managing large delivery programmes, financing and norms change for SRHR, with a focus on commodities.
- In-depth understanding of the analytics and assumptions behind the global FP commodity gap.
- Working knowledge of the global health financing architecture.
- Ability to interpret and develop complex financial models, forecasts and budgets.
- Good knowledge of key debates in sexual and reproductive health.
- Previous analysis or research experience in the private, public or international development context.
- Sound judgement, strong interpersonal, organisational and project management skills, outstanding written and verbal English, and IT proficiency (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
