Terre des hommes (Tdh), Switzerland's largest children's rights organisation, is restructuring its organisational model to get closer to children and youth in vulnerable situations in the 26 countries where it works. Tdh is hiring a Regional Health and WaSH Coordinator for its Asia Hub.
Start date: 01.12.2026. Duration: 12 months. Place of work: any Tdh Country Office in the Asia Hub (India, Nepal, Bangladesh or Myanmar). Contract: national contract in line with country labour legislation. Only candidates legally eligible to work in India, Nepal, Bangladesh or Myanmar will be considered.
The Coordinator ensures the regional impact and quality of Tdh's Health and WaSH interventions across India, Bangladesh, Nepal and Myanmar. They work with country Health and WaSH Coordinators/Managers and lead the development and implementation of regional Health and WaSH strategies.
Key responsibilities:
- Lead implementation of regional Health and WaSH strategies.
- Support country teams with technical guidance and programme quality assurance.
- Monitor regional trends, needs, programme performance and operational indicators.
- Contribute to fundraising, proposal development and donor engagement.
- Develop partnerships with governments, donors, NGOs, academia and the private sector.
- Promote innovation, learning, research and cross-country collaboration.
- Represent Tdh in regional forums, networks and advocacy initiatives.
- Support recruitment and functional management of country-level Health and WaSH coordinators/managers.
Profile:
- Master's degree in Public Health, WaSH or a related medical/public health field.
- Minimum 10 years of Health and/or WaSH programming experience with INGOs, NGOs, UN agencies or similar organisations in Tdh operating countries in Asia.
- Strong technical knowledge of WaSH, digital health, maternal, newborn and child health, nutrition and health systems strengthening.
- Experience in partnership development, resource mobilisation and proposal writing.
- Previous regional-level advisory or coordination experience across multiple countries.
- Experience managing complex programmes and multidisciplinary teams.
- Excellent written and spoken English; knowledge of local languages of India, Nepal, Bangladesh or Myanmar.
- High proficiency with Microsoft Office.
Salary and contract terms follow the HR rules of the Tdh country office hosting the position.
