Humanity & Inclusion (Handicap International) is recruiting a Logistics Services Project Manager (Chef de projet de services logistiques) for the ATLAS Logistique project in Uvira, South Kivu, Democratic Republic of the Congo. Desired start date: mid-November 2026. Contract duration: 3.5 months. Reference: FVE-INT-20260928-1.
Context: South Kivu faces persistent armed conflict, large population displacement and high humanitarian needs, with the security situation deteriorating since early 2025. Humanitarian access is constrained by insecurity and degraded logistics infrastructure. The Atlas Logistique project is launching a shared storage capacity in Uvira for cross-docking, contingency and pre-positioning of humanitarian supplies, supporting humanitarian actors as HI opens a base in the area.
Mission: Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Project Manager is responsible for implementing the project, ensuring its quality and impact, and covering management, strategy and steering, operational implementation, and emergency preparedness and response. Specific Atlas responsibilities include: supervising warehouse management (storage allocation, partner stock tracking, periodic inventories, compliance with AL procedures); planning and coordinating shared convoys for humanitarian partners within security constraints; validating transport operations planning and fleet follow-up; maintaining project tracking tools (PM Box, transport planning, OFU, prioritisation table, performance indicators); collecting and analysing transport and storage data; ensuring application of transport and warehouse security SOPs; and coordinating relations with partner users and accountability feedback. The role also ensures compliance with HI/Atlas technical standards, supports MEAL, and manages project data.
Requirements: at least 2 years of professional experience in the transport sector (project management experience strongly recommended); at least 1 year of team management experience; ability to work under pressure in a volatile security context; excellent communication skills; perfect command of French, English strongly desired.
Conditions: International contract of 3.5 months based in Uvira, also open locally (local package for residents). Salary from €2,757 gross/month, per diem €684 net/month, hardship €500 net/month, 25 paid leave days per year, R&R 5 days every 8 weeks, unaccompanied post, collective housing provided by HI, health, repatriation and pension coverage.
