We’re hiring: Social Enterprise Programme Consultant
Are you passionate about entrepreneurship, social impact and women’s economic empowerment? We are looking for a proactive and entrepreneurial professional to contribute to our Social Entrepreneurship Programmes in Nairobi.
Location: Nairobi, Kenya (Hybrid remote, with a minimum of one day per week in person)
Hours: 25 hours/week, flexible within core business hours
Start: Mid-November 2026 (or Early-December)
End: March 2027, with possibility of extension
Contract: Freelancer
Experience level: Mid-level professional (3+ years) in social entrepreneurship, incubation/acceleration, business coaching, or programme coordination
Remuneration: based on experience

About the role
The Social Enterprise Programme Consultant will play a key role in delivering Social Entrepreneurship Programmes that support women entrepreneurs through a structured journey, from exploring the foundations of social entrepreneurship to venture development and incubation. Through this approach, participants are supported to develop and validate their ideas, strengthen their business models, build and test prototypes, and progress towards sustainable, impact-driven ventures with potential for growth and fundraising.
One of W4’s key programmes, SEDI4HER (Social Entrepreneurship & Digital Incubator for Women) is implemented in Nairobi, in collaboration with EmpSERVE Kenya, Women’s Economic Imperative (WEI), and Hear Her Stories.
You will work directly with women entrepreneurs, providing business coaching and support while coordinating experts, mentors, workshops, ecosystem connections and programme learning.
You’ll also have the opportunity to work with an international team and partners and contribute to shaping and improving a pilot social entrepreneurship programme.
About the profile
We’re looking for someone with:
- 3+ years’ relevant experience in entrepreneurship, social enterprise, incubation/acceleration, training, coaching, or programme coordination.
- Strong facilitation, business coaching, coordination, and communication skills, with good written and spoken English.
- A proactive, hands-on, solution-oriented, and participant-centred approach, with strong organisational skills and a willingness to take ownership.
- A flexible and open mindset, comfortable working in a pilot environment and willing to experiment, adapt, learn, and continuously improve.
- Confidence using digital collaboration, communication, project management, and basic data-management tools.
- A strong commitment to quality, excellence, and creating a positive participant experience.
It would be an advantage to have:
Experience working with entrepreneurs, social enterprises, or women-led businesses.
Knowledge of the Kenyan or wider African entrepreneurship ecosystem.
