Under the supervision of the Head of Programme, the Mixed Migration Coordinator is responsible for providing technical oversight and support across sectorial teams working on mixed migration contexts. The role ensures that sectorial teams (Protection, EcRec and Emergency) follow DRC's Mixed Migration Policy and Guidelines in their interventions and supports programme quality assurance. The Coordinator contributes to route-based interventions and programme design through evidence-based analysis, coordination, and adaptation to ensure interventions are context appropriate, principled and responsive to the needs and rights of people on the move, and provides program management functions to the P2P project. Main duties include contributing to country strategy development, supporting evidence-based analysis of mixed migration dynamics, supporting design and dissemination of information messages, supporting analysis of national asylum and migration law, identifying and analysing protection risks, developing and harmonizing technical tools and SOPs, providing technical supervision and capacity building to DRC and partner staff, coordinating and representing DRC in mixed migration forums, and providing program management leadership for P2P including strategic planning, resource allocation, risk management and performance monitoring. Required: minimum 3-5 years of practical experience in mixed migration programming for an INGO; Master's degree in law, political science, international development, sociology or other relevant field; experience in route-based programming; protection experience an advantage; skills in project planning, design, drafting and technical writing; program management skills; excellent MS Office skills; experience in evidence-based analysis and advocacy; excellent knowledge of international legal frameworks on refugee and migrant protection and international human rights standards; experience working with national partners, local/government authorities and UN organizations. Contract length: 12 months. Band: G. Start date: November 2026.
