World Resources Institute (WRI) Indonesia is seeking a consultant Field Operation and Procurement Assistant for Agroforestry (Gayo Highlands) under its Food, Land, and Water Program. The role supports the Blended Finance Model (BFM) for the Social Forestry Enterprises Project, which strengthens Social Forestry Business Groups (KUPS) in Aceh Tengah and Bener Meriah districts through institutional strengthening, capacity building, agroforestry management, ecotourism development, business incubation and market partnerships. Target enterprises include Arabica coffee, honey, aren, silvopasture, nurseries, fisheries, organic fertilizer and processed food.
The Assistant will be based in Bener Meriah or Central Aceh, with regular travel to target villages and occasional travel to Aceh Besar and Sabang. Reports to the Sumatra Research and Program Development Lead, working closely with the field, M&E and Administration/Procurement teams.
Responsibilities:
- Procurement support (60%): support procurement of project goods and services (agroforestry materials, dry houses, coffee processing equipment, ecotourism infrastructure, web development); prepare RFQs, quotation comparisons, purchase requests/orders, vendor records and payment documents; maintain procurement trackers and coordinate with field teams and vendors.
- Administration and operations support (30%): prepare attendance lists, memos and travel documentation; coordinate field schedules, travel and logistics; assist monthly operational consolidation.
- Documentation and database support (10%): collect and organize project documentation and field evidence (photos, participant lists, geotagged data, minutes, training records) and retrieve it quickly for reports and audits.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management, Accounting, Public Administration, Forestry, Agriculture or a related field.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in project administration, procurement, operations, logistics or project support, including procurement documentation and vendor communications.
- Strong organizational skills; ability to work in dynamic field conditions and travel frequently to remote areas.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and digital filing tools; good communication and coordination skills.
- Legally able to work in Indonesia.
- Preferred: NGO or community development experience, local presence in or willingness to move to Aceh Tengah/Bener Meriah.
Duration: 15 October 2026 – 28 February 2027. Daily-rate consultancy, maximum 90 working days (about 20 days per month). Deliverables include monthly timesheets and progress reports, audit-ready procurement and administrative documentation, up-to-date field evidence, tracking records, and a final summary report.
