Danish Refugee Council is looking for a Humanitarian Disarmament and Peacebuilding Coordinator based in Tripoli, Libya, with frequent travel across the Algeria-Libya-Tunisia operation and the Tunis coordination office. This is a senior role leading DRC's Humanitarian Mine Action and Peacebuilding programming portfolio, identifying new opportunities, developing partnerships, and strengthening technical capacities across DRC field teams and partner organisations. The coordinator provides technical supervision to DRC's local partners and direct implementation, leads DRC's HDP strategy and representation tasks, and serves as focal point for partnership-related activities. Duties include: fundraising and donor engagement, developing concept notes and proposals; technical and team supervision of HMA/HDP staff; overall leadership of the HMA and Peacebuilding portfolios including planning, implementation, financial management, monitoring, reporting and programme development; building strategic partnerships with local actors including the National Mine Action Authority (LibMAC); representing DRC in coordination forums; ensuring security coordination; developing DRC's HDP sector strategy and integration with broader priorities; contributing to policy papers and donor reports; and mainstreaming peacebuilding and conflict sensitivity across other sectors. Requirements: at least 3 years of experience coordinating HMA activities; strong background engaging with government authorities, national mine action authorities, security forces, ministries, community leaders, INGOs/NGOs and UN agencies; proven fundraising and donor engagement experience; demonstrated experience in conflict-sensitive programming, capacity development and training; ability to develop realistic strategic plans; experience working in complex, politically-sensitive contexts; excellent written and spoken English, with Arabic a strong asset and French an advantage. Contract until 31 August 2027, suggested start date 1 November 2026.
