Risk and Compliance Manager (for Nationals)
The Risk and Compliance Manager will strengthen risk management capacity within SCI Ukraine and with partner organizations, undertake risk assessments and risk management planning, strengthen critical internal controls, provide risk and compliance advisory to stakeholders, and coordinate fraud and data protection investigations. The role involves regular travel to Area Offices and partner organizations to monitor risk management practices, conduct spot checks, and support mitigation measures. The candidate must be conversant with Ukrainian laws and regulations, SCI policies, donor regulations, and humanitarian standards, and be able to work in a demanding, fast-moving humanitarian context, including varying working hours during major emergencies.
Key responsibilities include strengthening risk and compliance capacity among staff and partners; conducting risk assessments and developing risk management plans in coordination with the Risk & Compliance Director, Area Directors, and Risk Committees; supporting internal controls and governance through spot checks and audit follow-up; providing risk management advisory to Country Office, Area Offices, and partners; and leading investigations into fraud and data protection cases in accordance with the SCI Investigations Framework, including reporting via DATIX and coordinating investigators.
Qualification: At minimum, a Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice, Accounting, Law, or other related field, with at least 5 years of relevant experience.
