DRC will provide child protection services for children in Tripoli to respond to pressing humanitarian needs, establishing Child Friendly Spaces for prevention, early identification and referral of children at risk. The Protection Assistant will implement DRC Child Protection case management activities in accordance with DRC's Child Protection Policy, Libya-specific SoPs and Child Protection Minimum Standards, creating an enabling environment for CFS and community-based child protection activities. Duties include implementing case management under supervision, participating in trainings and coaching, providing direct PSS services, making and accompanying referrals, respecting data confidentiality, completing accurate data entry and reporting, collaborating with MEAL teams, and representing DRC to stakeholders including beneficiaries, community groups, humanitarian agencies, and local authorities. Requirements: at least 1 year of professional experience in humanitarian interventions, preferably in child protection; experience in child protection case management preferred; familiarity with international protection and human rights legal standards and CP Minimum Standards; strong cultural awareness and ability to work with vulnerable migrants and refugees; university degree in Social Sciences, Sociology, Community Development, Communication, Humanitarian Affairs or related field; fluency in Arabic and good working knowledge of English. Contract until 31 Dec 2026, suggested start date 11 Oct 2026.
