PATH seeks a National Institutional Support Advisor for the USG-funded REACH Malaria global project, based in Conakry, Guinea. REACH provides implementation support and technical assistance to accelerate delivery of facility and community-based malaria services, including case management, prevention in pregnancy, seasonal chemoprevention, community health, and data use; in Guinea the scope also includes integrated maternal, newborn and child health (MNCH) activities. The advisor will report to PATH's Senior MNCH Technical Advisor in Conakry, work within the REACH Malaria consortium led by Catholic Relief Services, and be based at the Ministry of Health. Responsibilities include providing technical and strategic support to the Division of Family Health and Nutrition to strengthen institutional capacity and program coordination; advising on policy development, strategic planning, and program implementation for MNCH-N, including provider training and referral system strengthening; supporting design, monitoring and evaluation of national MNCH-N strategies; strengthening data collection and use systems; maintaining coordination with the REACH project and stakeholders; and mentoring national staff. Requirements: a medical/clinical degree with public health, health policy or nutrition expertise; 5-10 years of progressively responsible experience in MNCH-N programming; experience working with Ministry of Health personnel in Guinea; a track record of institutional capacity building and mentorship; strong computer skills (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint); understanding of USG funding preferred; fluency in French with working knowledge of English; and ability to travel 30-40% of the time.
