The Science for Africa Foundation (SFA Foundation) is a non-profit organisation supporting science innovation in Africa. The Human Capital Business Partner will partner with leaders to implement the Foundation's Human Capital Strategy, providing strategic and operational HR support to assigned departments and programmes, serving as a trusted advisor on organisational effectiveness and performance culture. Key responsibilities include: partnering with leadership on strategy implementation and workforce planning; supporting performance management and talent development, including objective-setting, performance reviews, and linking outcomes to learning and reward; implementing HC actions within organisational change and employment-transition plans; supporting design and administration of Total Rewards and Recognition programmes, salary reviews, job evaluation and grading; designing and overseeing employee relations policies ensuring legal compliance; maintaining the staff database and monitoring probation/contract-renewal deadlines; investigating employee grievances and mediating workplace disputes; promoting positive work environment and employee engagement including pulse and annual engagement surveys; and preparing people analytics and progress reports. Requires a bachelor's degree in human resource management and strong business partnering experience in organisational development, employee relations, reward and recognition, policy development, regulatory compliance, and organisational change.
