PMNCH, the WHO-hosted global partnership for maternal, newborn, child and adolescent health, is seeking a part-time consultant (2 days/week, 1 year with possible extension) to support its communications, advocacy and regional engagement work. The role combines strong writing and media-relationship skills with advocacy coordination and regional programme delivery. Key responsibilities span three areas: communications (writing and editing stories, blogs, briefs and reports; building media relationships to secure coverage; managing the communications calendar across social platforms; leading end-to-end development of the PMNCH annual report); advocacy (coordinating the United MNCH Advocacy Working Group, developing briefs, talking points and position papers, and aligning advocacy priorities with PMNCH's financing and accountability campaigns); and regional work (planning policy dialogues, developing policy briefs, and designing/delivering capacity-building workshops for regional partners, particularly in Francophone Africa). Required skills include excellent writing/editing ability with demonstrated media relationship experience, experience coordinating advocacy coalitions or working groups, policy brief writing for non-technical audiences, and experience managing social media accounts and editorial calendars. Familiarity with Mailchimp, Typeform, Looker Studio and Canva/Adobe is a plus. Fluency in English required; French proficiency is an advantage. Applications reviewed on a rolling basis via a short screening form.
