Location: Remote (UK, South West preferred), United Kingdom
Impact Ops is looking for a Finance & Operations Manager to join our team. This is a newly created, internal-facing role: rather than working on client portfolios, you'll own the financial and operational machinery of Impact Ops itself. Impact Ops is an independent organization providing finance and operations support to high-impact nonprofits, serving over 50 clients globally across cause areas including global health, animal welfare, AI safety, and climate.
As Finance & Operations Manager, you'll run Impact Ops' own finances, company secretarial obligations, payroll, invoicing, contracting, and HR administration, reporting to the Founder & CEO and working closely with the Head of Finance.
Responsibilities include: bookkeeping, month-end close, management accounts, annual accounts, cash flow forecasting and budget tracking, accounts receivable/payable, VAT returns and corporation tax submissions; company secretarial filings and statutory records; running UK payroll end-to-end including RTI/PAYE/NI/pension auto-enrolment; drafting and tracking client SLAs and employment/contractor agreements; and HR administration including onboarding/offboarding and benefits administration.
Requirements: a recognised accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent) or equivalent experience; experience running or supporting the finance function of a small business; UK payroll experience or willingness to take it on; strong confidentiality and discretion; ability to work independently in a remote environment.
Compensation: GBP 50,000-60,000 depending on experience. Location: remote, with strong preference for candidates in the UK, specifically the South West (periodic in-person co-working required). Full-time or part-time (min. 3 days/week). Start date: 1 December 2026 preferred, flexible to Q1 2027.
* Application deadline: 11 October 2026
