Location: Turin, Italy
The Associate Programme Officer will join the Sustainable Enterprises and Economies Programme (SEE), which provides training, learning and capacity building on enterprise development, responsible business conduct, social finance, green jobs, the social and solidarity economy, and rural and local development. Reporting to the SEE Manager, the incumbent will support the consolidation and expansion of the portfolio of training and learning activities on SME development with emphasis on productivity, innovation and digitalization. Duties include selecting and analyzing information on SME productivity, innovation and digitalization; supporting the design of training activities and proposals; assessing potential impact of training activities; serving as activity manager for training projects, preparing cost estimates and monitoring funds; coordinating delivery of training courses including distance education as trainer/tutor/facilitator; preparing training materials; contributing technically to seminars, expert meetings and working groups; supporting development of online participative training methodologies; and maintaining a roster of consultants and experts while building networks with international institutions and UN organisations. Requirements: advanced university degree in business, social sciences, economics, management of development or related field; at least three years of progressively responsible professional experience, of which at least two years international in a development cooperation framework; working experience in a low or middle income country; experience organizing and delivering training; at least two years working on SME productivity, innovation and digitalization; excellent knowledge of English or French plus good knowledge of the other, and excellent knowledge of Arabic.
