IDA is an independent non-governmental organization providing medical and humanitarian assistance to people affected by conflicts, natural disasters, and epidemics regardless of race, religion, gender, or political affiliation. The organization is seeking a Nurse for its Health department in Aleppo.
Responsibilities: Provide safe and comprehensive nursing care to patients according to approved standards and procedures; assess patients' conditions and monitor vital signs, reporting any changes requiring intervention to the physician; administer prescribed medications and treatments following medical instructions and medication safety procedures; implement and follow up on necessary nursing procedures according to patient condition and department; provide care for newborns, children, and women depending on the assigned department, including incubator care; support women before, during, and after childbirth under the medical team's guidance; assist in preparing patients for medical procedures and operations as needed; maintain infection control and apply hygiene, sterilization, and personal protective equipment procedures; document all care provided and maintain accurate medical records; ensure clear and organized handover of patient cases between shifts; coordinate with doctors, midwives, and other health team members to ensure integrated care; educate patients and their families on health care and necessary guidance; maintain confidentiality of patient information and adhere to professional ethics and hospital policies; perform other nursing duties within scope as needed.
Qualifications: Nursing degree; professional practice license; prior nursing experience, preferably in pediatric, incubator, or maternity/obstetrics departments; ability to work in a team and under pressure; commitment to shift work per hospital needs; good communication and interpersonal skills with patients and families.
