DRC Uganda is looking for highly qualified and motivated individuals to join as Agricultural Officers (02), contingent on funding. The Agricultural Officer will be responsible for technical implementation of DRC's Food Systems and Economic Self-Reliance project across Obongi, Moyo, Yumbe, Koboko, Madi Okollo and Terego districts, ensuring quality of work and supporting Climate Smart Agriculture (CSA) training for community Farmer Groups and Project Management Committees. Duties include community mobilization for CSA engagement, establishing block/cluster and Perma gardens, organizing training and awareness campaigns, environmental education and capacity building, supporting distribution of project inputs (cash transfers, agro/small business materials), stakeholder collaboration with OPM, UNHCR and district authorities, and monitoring, evaluation and reporting of project activities. Requires at least 3 years of practical field experience in community mobilization and project implementation, a Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Agricultural Extension or related field, experience in ecosystem restoration and climate adaptation projects, workforce management experience, strong analytical and communication skills, knowledge of local market systems and CSA, a valid motorcycle riding license, and full professional proficiency in English. Contract length 12 months, Band H2, duty station Imvepi, Moyo, start date October 2026.
