The Logistics Officer will support the South Area Office operations by providing timely and efficient logistical services, focusing on procurement while also supporting warehouse and assets work as needed. Working under the Support Manager, the role ensures compliance with NRC's logistics procedures, donor guidelines, and Lebanese regulations. Responsibilities include supporting staff on procurement procedures and documentation, maintaining professional relationships with suppliers, conducting market surveys, preparing procurement reports, and ensuring proper filing of procurement documents. The role manages procurements through the full cycle, from requisition to completion, prepares requests for quotations, analyzes offers, drafts contracts and purchase orders, and liaises with suppliers and internal departments. The officer maintains supplier databases, monitors market conditions, follows up on payments with Finance, and prepares monthly procurement KPI reports. Requires minimum 1-2 years of procurement experience in a humanitarian/recovery context, prior experience in complex and volatile settings, good English language skills, and proficiency with logistics software and tools such as Excel and procurement systems.
