IOM in the Democratic Republic of the Congo is recruiting a Project Associate – Mental Health and Psychosocial Support (MHPSS), G-5, based in Kalemie, Tanganyika. The successful candidate will support the implementation of MHPSS activities, including administrative, financial and logistical follow-up, field activities, reporting and coordination with partners. Under the general supervision of the MHPSS Programme Coordinator based in Kinshasa, and direct supervision of the MHPSS Project Officer based in Kalemie, the Project Associate will assist in implementing the five-year initiative (2025-2029) on mental health and psychosocial support for peace in DRC, financed by KfW under the mandate of the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ). Responsibilities include: handling financial tasks such as payment requests, maintaining records of PRs, PRFs and supporting documents, and following up on operational advances; supporting logistics for field visits, purchase and distribution of equipment, and rehabilitation of community infrastructure and health facilities; following up on activities carried out by Finance, Logistics, Communication and Security Units; assisting in preparation of guidance documents and support tools (SOPs, checklists, presentations); supporting MHPSS Teams in community consultations, reintegration of ex-combatants, rehabilitation of infrastructure, training and capacity building, awareness-raising, and establishment of monitoring systems and local committees; assisting with monitoring and evaluation activities including data collection and impact assessments; maintaining communication with project partners at provincial and local levels; and assisting in preparation of regular reports.
