Agora Energiewende, an independent, non-partisan think tank and policy laboratory working since 2014 on evidence-based strategies for clean energy and industry transitions, seeks a Project Manager Budget and Finance for Europe's Decarbonisation (full- or part-time, at least 80% of 38 hours/week, regular presence in Brussels). Responsibilities include conducting research and analysis on funding and investment needs for Europe's transformation to climate neutrality across energy, industry, buildings, and transport; analysing instruments such as carbon pricing revenues for deploying funding efficiently and fairly; supporting and overseeing research projects with external partners; monitoring developments in the Multiannual Financial Framework and EU-level funding instruments (Industrial Decarbonisation Bank, Innovation Fund, Modernisation Fund, InvestEU, Competitiveness Fund); and facilitating stakeholder exchange and networks. Requirements: at least three years' experience in policy analysis, consulting, applied research, or representing civil society/business; a Master's degree in a relevant field with an economic component; good understanding of the EU budget and funding instruments with deeper expertise in at least one; strong quantitative skills; relevant European policy networks; strong communication skills; and working fluency (C2) in English plus another EU language.
